Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in via Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google's authentication service.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the App, including:

  • Books you read and your reading progress
  • Ideas you save to favorites
  • Book ratings you submit
  • Language and display preferences

Device Information

We may collect basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and compatibility purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the App
  • Track your reading history and favorites across devices
  • Improve content recommendations and App features
  • Manage your subscription
  • Communicate important updates about the service

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

  • Supabase — Database hosting and authentication. Your account data and usage data are stored securely on Supabase servers. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
  • OpenAI — Audio narration generation. Book text is processed by OpenAI's text-to-speech API to create audio files. No user data is sent to OpenAI. See OpenAI Privacy Policy.
  • Google Play / Apple App Store — Subscription billing and payment processing. We do not store your payment information directly.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers provided by Supabase. We implement Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access their own data. All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion — Request deletion of your account and data
  • Export — Request an export of your data in a portable format
  • Opt-out — Unsubscribe from non-essential communications

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Cookies and Tracking

The App does not use cookies or third-party tracking. The admin web portal uses essential authentication cookies only (no analytics or advertising cookies).

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
